whats the best celica motor??????

im not sure, but whats the best celica motor???? im thinkin that the 5sfe might be good beacuse its a 2.2L. but im not sure. so what do you guys think.

definately the all trac 3sgte engine... hands down

the 3SGTE are the turbo 2.0L that were available in the celica All Trac which were awd.

the engine has nothing to do with the car being awd, fwd, or rwd... but the celica's which came with the engine were awd... the 3sgte has been known to withstand over 700hp on the sock bottom end.. it has massive hp potential

yeah but the only reason why i ask is beacuse im gonna put a celica motor in my cousins paseo.

The 3S-GTE has the most potential, but I think the 2ZZ-GE (modern Celica GT-S motor) is a lot more fun.

That's not true, 2ZZ is a great N/A, so is the 3SGE, but the 2ZZ is more compact and lighter. For a paseo it's much better suited. With the added weight of the 2ZZ the car would weigh, what 2200-2250lbs? and a car with that kind of weight pumping easy with some mods 200hp would be a nice pocket rocket.

im not saying the 2zzge is a bad motor its just that its way to high of compression to turbo and its a very hard swap to accomplish, ive never eard of anyone ever putting a 2zzge in any car other than a celica gt....theres an assload of wiering , as well as hella sensors and the fact that the 2zzge is a relitivly big motor compared to soemthing like the 4afe the paseo comes with

zz engines= 00-05 celica's, 00-05 mr2 spyder, matrix xr & zrs, corolla xrs, lotus elise, and the pontiac vibe gt= all carry the zz engine.

okay if you have a 4afe, why in the world would you go to a zz or az engine. I would swap in another A engine, like the silver top.

those are good engines but getting them in is a bitch for the zzt's

eh, if i get this jobwhere im supposed to be gettn it, im debating whether to do a 4agze swap or sell my st and buy a 6th gen

I have seen 3stge motors on ebay but none of them say it wil fit with 94 celica st. Is that true ? If so what is the best engine for a 94 st celica ?

itll fit its just that theres MASSIVE wiering issues...as well as motor mounts (passenger side) dont match up...find the post about the 4afe to 4age i wrote and the 3sgte motor swap i worte, should answer ur questions, readthe parts about the celica St's it should pertain to you

3sgte is the way to go if i had that car, hey i would even do it on camry's.

its as easy to do on camrys as on a celica gts
