3sgte in 1985 ae86

Will a 3sgte fit into a 1985 3sgte. I am new to the whole trueno scene. And no I dont like them cause of initial D. I actually l like the way they look when they have suspension done. But would the motor above fit? If not where can I get a good motor that would fit for farely cheap?

hi , im from jordan ( king husain ) . i have ae86 levin , it is the only one in my country , under the hood there is 4a-ge , and there is something wrong in it , so i want to ask which is better : 1- 4agze 2- 4age 20v 3- 3sgte . i am a student so i don't have much money , and here this engines is so not costy the 4agze = 1100$ , 4age 20v = 800$ , 3sgte = 1000$-1200$ ( the three engins with wiring and ecu ) ( i bought my car for 5500$ )

The 3SGTE is far to heavy for the front end of the AE. It will throw off the balance of the car drasticaly.
For the money you can put an SR20 or FC20+Votec supercharger in there .I have an FC20+Votec ready to go in my engine bay and its actualy slightly lighter than the existing blue top.

the 3sgte is a very good very common swap for ae86. there is a company in california that sells the kit for it called danstoy.com i think. it would e very fast and good. as for cheap, leave it stock, every motor swap into a ae86 will always cost more than you expect. really....
