2004 c230 snow tires?

Hello all,
I purchased a 2004 c230 sport sedan kompressor. I love the car (wish I had waited a year for the '05 though). This past winter was my first winter with the car and it couldn't drive a lick thru 1 inch of snow.

I have heard that winter tires make a huge difference, I would like to get a set of winter tires for the car and wanted to know if any of you have any recommendations.
