Drivers School Tire Pressures????

I'm heading to a drivers school next weekend at Grattan on a new set of Yokohama AO32 R's (soft compound) and since these are new tires I don't have any tire pressure experience. I have a '95 m3 2dr with 235/40-17's all the way around. I have heard that the sidewall on this tire is VERY stiff and thus doesn't need much of an increase in tire pressure (over what one might use on the street). Surely someone out there has driven on these at a drivers school and has some comments/suggestions for initial tire pressure for me :)

Oh - and the car is basically stock with as much of a track alignment as my local shop could muster up on stock parts.

Since everything is pretty much stock Ide say use the stock psi reccomended on the driver side door. You might want to lower it 4-6 psi to get a little bit more grip. But that will also increase drag, so whichever you think is more important.

So I was at Grattan last weekend and had an absolute blast (no surprise I'm sure) and after asking around I got the following recommendation for tire pressures on the AO32 R's from one of the instructors:

40psi HOT all the way around. This was equivalent to something near 32 psi cold for my driving style on that track with that weather.
