i heard somewhere that the best place to put the intake is under the car cause its coolest there. i have mine kinda to the side above the wheel is that ok? also if i wana make a custom pipe for the intake is there anyway i could find a 3 inch pipe and bend it?

Shit..... for a second i thought you were talking about the plenum..lol

You could try PVC pipe if you're gonna do it yourself, but i'm sure there's someone who can bend and manipulate a decent looking pipe in your area with the right measurements. But then you could also check with someone on here who has the same car as you.

They usually put it in front of the bumper, from what i've seen. Cooler and better airflow.

Don't use PVC, when it get hot/burns, it releases poisoness gases.

First off you should try looking for a specific cold air intake for your car if you cant find one then I would suggest talking to a company that makes intercooler piping but beware if you drive through deap puddles of water you can suck water into the engine I know this from personal experiance with my 89 cougar had it at roughly 7 psi of boost then a truck came around a corner and forced me off the road in to water.

PVC is ghetto. It also absorbs heat & looks like crap. Just buy a cai w/ a splash shield.
