Air Brush Prep?

I need a simple prep method for before i apply do i just clean the surface with an adhesion promoteror do you actually sand it the airbrush kit Im gettin is glass and stainless dual action its awesome! I am thinking adhesion promoter would do but not sure whats best?

Im sure the adhesion promoter would work. I've never done much work on OEM paint. Normally its my own stuff, thats in progress so I have just color sanded the base.

You don't prep with adhesion promoter....you prep with well....prep...:) .... on plastic you would use soap and water first to get rid of anything that is water based....then use plastic prep with a grey, 3M Scotchbrite pad 3M.7448 ... then spray the adhesion promoter (Bulldog), leave it wet and go straight to paint.

On bare metal prep with metal prep or, if you want to be cheap; rubbing alcohol. Etch prime the area then paint. If not bare metal or prepainted/primed piece then just scuff with fine sand paper and go to paint.

Hey Mark, just thought I'd let you know; Im busting out my airbrush this weekend to brush up on my freehand skulls (no pun intended). I'll be just painting on some of my art paper though, I'll post some stuff up once its done.

EDIT: Forgot to tell you prep.

I'd say sand the paint, but thats just how I do it. Like I said before, I've never done anything on an OEM surface.
