ZX2 Transmission Problems?

Hello Guys,
I am starting to have a problem with my 98 ZX2. Whenever I accelerate from a stop (and I'm not talking about my foot way down to the board... just a regular pace), my car pulls to the right. When I reach cruising speed the wheels straighten out and the steering wheels returns to the normal straight-ahead position. Last night I started to make a hard right hand turn from a stopsign on a slight incline. My car reved but barely crept forward. As soon as I turned the wheel to the leftward direction the engine caught and pulled me down the road no problem. The car has about 70,000 miles and I have owned it since 36,000 and have taken care of it. Can anyone offer a suggestion for the problem and how much I can expect to pay to fix it? Thank you very much!!

Ok That sounds a little better than a tranmission problem. Thank you for the suggestion.

Officially it was the caps on the end of the tie-rod according to the mechanic. Thanks for the help!!
