No respect

How in the hell does the Stratos get such little respect that nobody has posted about it?

The Stratos was the little sports car that vehicles like the MR2 (not the new Spyder), and even the second Lotus Elan (remember that very good looking fwd mistake?) were trying to be. Good looking, even exotic in appearance, with a genuine racing pedigree and performance that made you wonder why in the hell you ever though of getting a Ferrari 308. Nothing built now fully captures this little car's spirit, with perhaps the Noble coming the closest of anything.

The Stratos was built for the sole purpose of rallying. It is an exotic racing car, unlike the MR2 or the front-drive Elan.

The car the MR2 and the Fiero were trying to be was the Fiat X-1/9. A sports car based on an econobox drivetrain positioned at the rear wheels instead of the front. The X-1/9 was the original and most beautiful example. The original versions of both the Fiero and the MR2 were both awkward copies of the X-1/9's Bertone alluring wedge styling.

The car the MR2 and the Fiero were trying to be was the Fiat X-1/9.
Actually the MR2 was orinally a Lotus project.
Toyota was working with Lotus to build a mroe afforadable and reliable sports car.
As it turned out, Toyota ended up producing the car, not Lotus.

hi stratos is just an awesome car and like some people say it was the first car make only for rally i was the start of lancia in his great rally carrer and its my favorite car :)

btw if you have videos of it please tell me :)

the stratos is a great car but the reason no one posts to much about it is because not many people have heard of it
