Well I currently have a nissan 180sx and its not the friendliest when it comes to family and bring along buisiness clients... :disappoin
So with that in mind I am looking for a fast import 4 door and have ran across a couple that I like already... So what will you all recommend? :feedback:
Also something with an easy to access engine bay for upgrades and matinence. Here are some choices I have found I liked
Lexus IS300
Infinity G20
Subaru Legacy
BMW 5 series
Honda Accord *Euro Type R*
So what should it be?
I am looking for a lot of :2cents: from yall :)

JZX100 TOYOTA CHASER ... these are the COOLEST 4 door imports i think, and they have a 1JZ-GTE and we all know the kind of potential they have... well a lot and they actually rev harder than 2j because of shorter stroke... anyways with $1-2000 this car will have 400hp here are some pics .... http://www5c.biglobe.ne.jp/~acm75472/jzx100-chaser/exterior/exterior.htm
in japan they are used as street monsters, circuit weapons and drift pigs.... they are just awesome and pretty rare, slightly on the heavy side but not too heavy and big and roomy and slightly luxurious

Chasers are awesome, but you can't get them here in the U.S. So, I'd go for the Lexus IS 300 or the BMW 3 Series, whichever you like better.

here is a nicely modified japanese jzx100 - this kind of effect can be easily achieved with this car - it is stunning i love it - and a powerful RWD 1jz-GTE.... make no mistake, this is no soarer, its not a boat it handles quite well for a car its size and i think it has just about everything u specified it just seems perfect 4 u (i am biased - i love them)

whats a TSX?
Acura TSX. Are you in America or another country? In other countries it's the accord type R or something like that.
It's 200HP 4 cyl and it pretty fast for an all-motor 4 door family car (by American standards, we don't have too many skylines here :)

I don't know alot about the TL but I think it's a higher class/more expensive car, it's v6 compared to the TSX's 4. But in your first post, you seem like want a fast car, if you can afford a TL, I think you can buy yourself a fast EVO or a WRX :)

:2cents: my deff of a sleeper is extereor is bone stock :2cents: except for things such has a working spoiler (only if your car is fast enough to need one...and it must be as low profile as possible) or rims...rims only if you cant find rubber to fit stock rims that is rated to adiquite speeds....and the rims should be as clost to stock looking as possible....steel rims are good...but please no hub caps....so in my deff even a low profile body kit no longer allows it to be a sleeper...but then agian who cares what my deff is... :banghead: :eek7: :disappoin

DON'T get a Cefiro, especially if they are rare in your country. They have HUGELY complex and unreliable electrical systems. If nobody knows anything about the car, then it will send you VERY broke VERY quickly.
Add to that, they rust too easily.

Well, its engine is the 2JZ-GE, the non-turbo Supra engine. So all it needs is some twin turbos to become an absolute monstrosity.

ooh sorry i fucked up i was thinkin bout is200 (high buzzin 3s-gte) no 2jz-GE is good engine to tune, u could probably get a decent completely drivable 280hp without any forced induction, or else u can turbo it, or swap in a 2jz or a 1jz or go all out and make a 1.5jz-GTE (2j block, 1j head). do is300's come in manual?

CKAMC, you want a fast 4-door import? How about a Neon SRT4?
Whadayamean a Neon isnt an import? To me, my fellow European & other non-US AF members, all American cars are imports.
Read this (http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=170703).
I would have thought "Domestic vs Import Debates, Please read before posting" would have been a clear enough instruction. AF is a global automotive forum hence the term "import" has no meaning here. Thread title changed.

Why would anyone want an Lexus IS300/Altezza NOW? It's going to be replaced in a year by another compact Lexus. You would be driving a long-in-the-tooth older generation car when the new car comes out. It's like buying a 2004 Mustang when the new 2005 Mustang is just around the corner.
I recommend a 6-speed Infiniti G35/Skyline sedan because the platform and the VQ won't be replaced anytime soon (if you have the $$$ for an IS300, then you should have enough for a G35).

The TSX comes with a K-series engine and it shares many parts from an acura RSX type-S. to my knowledge the cylender heads are the same while the short block is .4 liters more BUT has lower compression...I guess that's why it's at the same HP level as an RSX 2.0 :dunno:
If you have a TSX engine, install only 11:1 compression pistons, type R cams from the japanese RSX type R, and get the computer chipped by Hondata, and you'll see an easy 230-240 RELIABLE HP. You don't even have to have an aftermarket chip, I've heard rumors of people using the stock RSX type R chip from Japan. Yo'll be amazed at how these engines respond to better cams and pistons. On another note, the RSX type-S connesting rods are knows to be weak/soft, the TSX rods MIGHT be the same, so if you want a TSX find out about rods as well.

Phhhbbbttt........ A Civic Type R and most likely even and SiR (B16b and B16a) would have little trouble with a Pulsar VZ-R (SR16VE - aka, has Nissans VVT system) from what I've seen.
So imagine a much heavier and sloppier Primera (aka G20) with a similar motor. Not fast.

Hey, Nobody has mentioned this car yet, and I'm not sure if it ever reached the US, but the original shape Mercedes C43 AMG was seriously quick. Ok, not the best looking car on the planet, but with tuning firms like Brabus, Hartage, Carlson and Birds, you could get over 550bhp out of one.
If budget is no constraint then the M5, E55 AMG, or RS6 pretty much rule this territory.
