im looking at ditching my accord and going back to an 4th gen civic (the accords just no fun) and ive been wanting to get into some kind of autox.

my big thing is i would like stay in the stock or street prepared class, but i would like to swap in a different motor(mostly for the lower milage), and i was reading the classificatoin rules and i rember something about street prepared allowing the exchanging of parts between different trim levels, and i was wondering if that included models not availble in the same county (ex. the 4th gen civic could be equipped with either a b16 or a ZC in both japan and europe, but since im in the us the ability to get a 4th gen civic with these motors is impossible unless i got one brought over, which is out of the question) Now i can get these motors from other cars, but my question is can i do this and stay in the street preped class? cuz i see it as i would be turning a stock usdm civic into a stock edm/jdm civic... would this still keep me in the stock/street preped classes and just maybe move me from H Stock to G Stock and C Street prep to maybe B street prep?

if i need to explain myself better just ask

you'd most likely be in street mod

the street prepared swap would be to swap the same engine, and if it wasn't done in the US the SCCA won't allow it.

if you do an engine swap and want to be competative, make sure you're prepared enough for streetmod... it's intense.

i'm in SM2, and hoping to be competative in the upcoming series... i have it so i have double the stock bhp, but to the ground.

good luck!
