ok i saw this on another car forum but i wanted some advice from this forum cause its over flowing with car freaks of all kinds.

does this thing really work, and is it really possible to gain that much HP or is this just a gimick and they testing it on a car with a dead alternator?

lol, wether the alternator is dead or not, you don't always get the exact voltage into the spark plugs. One day, try blasting your sound system (espicially if you have a good one) and using your highbeams while hard acceleration. You'll realise that you've lost some power.
Personally, I think their results are exagerated and the product isn't worth that price anyways. If their stats are true $10/ponny is not a good deal. You can get a turbo charger for $250 which will put out 60 ponnies if you do it right.
The thing is, I believe that their invention is realistic in terms of fuel efficiencey and emmision control. You'll have a more clean fuel burn every time and you'll have less wear on your spark plugs. You might even fix detonation problems and extend your alternator's life. But $170??!?!!?!?!!? Man, I can make a transistor store voltage too!
