What Is Needed To Get B16a1 Into High 13's All Motor?

Ok, I know this is possible if one has the $$$$. Can someone lists what parts I would need to break into the 13's all motor? I want a full interior street legal car. I was thinking maybe this

1. Skunk2 camshafts, cam gears, valve springs
2. Reprogrammed ECU
3. Ported and polished head
4. Hytech header
5. Exhaust
6. Vtec controller
7. CAI
8. Bigger throttle body
9. Better intake manifold
10. A lot of good tuning

What else can be added to the list?

Tyres and suspension to keep the 190odd hp required on the ground.
As well as an LSD equiped G/box.

Your also gonna want a aftermarket clutch such as ACT. You can have as much power as you want but when you dont have a good clutch, then the power wont get distributed to the ground.:D

I'd put the money from the port and polish into something else. B series heads are great from the start, and unless you plan on a full race setup there is no need to port and polish a B series head, this according to www.theoldone.com :)

here is what I'm doing, which should EASILY net 13's:

-B16A1 w/Y1 LSD tranny
-SKUNK2 intake manifold - 8+ hp
-SKUNK2 stage I cams - 17+ hp
-SKUNK2 cam gears
-clutch masters stageI clutch and billet flywheel
-DC 4-1 headers
-open cat
-Thermal exhaust w/stealth insert - gives me more low to mid range torque.
-Fields VTEC controller

I think that's it....oh, and I sell everything I use, so if you need SKUNK2 quite a bit cheaper, email me or go to www.pri-racing.com

Suspension setup:

z10 engineering radius arm/crossmember kit (www.z10eng.com)
Tokico Illumina Adjustable dampers (front set @ softest, rear @ stiffest)
Ground Control Coilovers (All the way DOWN in front, UP in rear)

Horsepower Mods:
DC 4-1 Header
DC Cat-back Exhaust
AEM CAI (for the 99-00 Civic Si)
Skunk2 Intake Manifold

Misc:
A'pexi VAFC
ACT 6 puck/eXtreme PP
Fidanze Flywheel

13s, street tires. Only around 180hp or so.... but the 60ft time more than makes up for it....gauranteed.... and I'm talking about in a FULL interior 89 CRX Si...

in the sir, there wasnt and lsd tranny, correct? So, what would one have to do to get the lsd tranny to work in the EF? the lsd is the hydraulic for the b16a2? I was always wondering this, I just thought I would have to have the cable tranny and live with it.

Both the Y1 and the YS1 came in cable-operated form, and both had optional LSD. I forgot to add that to my 13second formula heheh but a YS1 tranny w/LSD is definitely a plus :)

Phatwippin: you have the v-afc installed on the rex? I was thinking of either getting my ecu chipped or getting the v-afc, because they essentially change the same things, but the v-afc is tunable, right? I'm thinking of what's in the future for my mods, I already have the CAI, exhaust, headers, and clutch. I was thinking the Skunk2 intake manifold next, then the v-afc. Sound good?

hmmm........ apparently great minds think alike eh? Nah no VAFC yet...... but soon I hope, if I can sell my damn rims. As for the intake manifold, you hit it right on the head man. I went Clutch, CAI, Header, and last week, my exhaust finally came in :)

Bring on the Skunk2 intake manifold!

THen I'm not sure...... port/polished/milled B16 a Head and Overbored TB is probably next...... then either the VAFC and the YS1 tranny, or Z10 crossmember and Tokico Illuminas....... hmm....

And once I get my tax return, me = :) cuz the rest of the shit should be on its way :)

LSD was an option with the SiR (which neither moppie or I have :( ). The proper SiR with LSD also had ABS except for the race version which had LSD only. I'm trying to track down an EF8 (CRX SiR) or EF9 gearbox with one fitted. I've only seen one EF8 LSD so far and they didn't want to split it from the front cut - pity

I got the lsd with my swap, hopefully nothing really bad goes wrong so my funds stay at there current level, then I can grab that intake manifold and eventually the v-afc. Only problem is I gotta find someone to dyno and tune after I get it. Delaware sucks....

I was asking the guy at strongs about an LSD.

He sold the last one he found for over NZ$1000

That's not bad moppie - it works out to about 800 bucks here with currency conversion. I had the offer of a Quaife to suit the tranny for Au$1000 second hand. For NZ$1000 I'd have snapped it up :)
