I have a 1996 Chrsyler town and country 3.8 which starts and then dies after about 2 seconds. If I rev the engine hard when starting, it will keep running, and then run great thereafter. If I keep the key turned to the start position it will keep running until I turn the key to the run position.
I had my local chrysler dealership run their computer diagnostic, they found nothing. They think it is a loose wire somewhere and want $550 to find the wire.
I've replaced plugs, fuel filter, crank position sensor and checked the coil pack and wires.
A couple of times, the engine has died abruptly when I have attempted switched the power window switch.
