Due to the cost of insurance premiums and premium gas in Chicago, I'm forced to sell my Grand Prix GTP. It is a silver 1998 sedan with 70,000 miles, a black leather interior and all options except the sunroof. Those options include (but are not necessarily limited to) premium CD stereo, leather-wrapped steering wheel w/ radio controls, head-up display, power driver's seat, trip computer w/ multiple modes, traction control, performance-shift mode, and 16-inch alloy wheels. This car has a 3.8 liter supercharged V6 mated to a 4-speed automatic transmission; it is rated at 240 horsepower and 280 pound-feet of torque. According to the trip computer, the car is averaging about 22 miles per gallon in combined city and highway driving (about 50/50). Mechanically, the car is in excellent condition, it runs great and pulls hard. For the race-minded, there are MANY cheap modifications available for this car, such as a $60 supercharger pulley that is reliably worth around 20-40 horsepower.

The car does have several issues. First, it needs a new shifter or shifter switch, as you have to press the shift-lock release button to shift out of park. Second, it has mild paint flaking on the little shelf under the rear license plate - it's barely noticeable unless you are looking for it. Finally, the head-up display fades in and out - there is a cost-free fix that can be done, but I lack the technical ability (see www.clubgp.com for details). These are the only problems that I am aware of and the vehicle has a complete service record with every receipt for every oil change (I only use synthetic) and repair.

I live on the north side of Chicago, and I'm willing to drive anywhere within the Chicago metro area or will meet you halfway (up to 200 miles) for a test-drive or to deliver. Anything further than that... well, we'll see what we can work out.

Pictures may be available on request, depending on my ability to borrow a digital camera. If you are SERIOUSLY interested, let me know and I'll do my best to get you some pictures ASAP.

I am asking $7500.
