Anybody out there know of how one could remove the back seats of a pontiac grand am? I was hoping to take a look at the float in my gas tank because I have been having problems with it malfunctioning.

When you say that you need to remove the top...you mean, the top fold-down part of the back seat? Have you tried this or have heard about it? The screws that you have to remove on the bottom...where are they located?

I had to remove it because I was installing speaker on my 2001 GA SE. I had trouble to until someone helped me out. Let me double check when I am in my car again and I will post again

I would think my 2000 GA would be the same as your 2001. To remove the bottom seat just push toward the back at the floor of the car to unclip the seat and lift it out. But my question is why you want to remove the seat because of a problem with your gas tank? Are you going to cut the floor out to get to it??

Easy to do!!!! 1. First take off the bottom seat which you should just be able to pull out 2. Two bolts on the left and right on the bottom corners... You might have to move some of the carpet t see 3. Look in the trunk on the top right and left behinf some carpet and youll see whats holding it in. 4. All you need to do next if lift the seat up and pull out.... Done!
