So ive been away for awhile, and alot has happened to my car that i would like to share. About last week after work me and my friend decided to trade cars for a day. We left work about 2:30 am and was driving down the 495 west ( for those who live in NYC). I was enjoying my friends 2004 Evolution when freaking i looked at my car which was on the right lane ...WITH THE FRONT HOOD POPPED ALL THE WAY UP. Luckily since my friend and i baby eachothers cars he was only going 40, if it had been me i usually give it a lil more gas. Apparently the hood latch failed and the secondary hook was broken broken as well( I dont know how this happened), we pulled over to the side and took a closer look. My hood was bent from the sudden lift and the edges dug into my plastics near the windshiel wipers. Iasked if my friend was ok and kind of laughed it off, it only hit me later of how painful it was. WE tied a shoe lace from the hood to the hood latch and drove home... I also recently found out that i have a oil leak from under car, as of right now i dont know what it is, might be head gasket or might be tranmission or even a seal. My rotors in the rear are starting to warp and i just shipped out $180 for a OEM brake job.. SIGH
So much problems, im going crazy.. it seems that everytime i come close to saving up for my rims and new tires or my ball bearing turbo shit always messes up and i end up spending the money for fixes. I get very discouraged... But i guess this is wat its all about , to stand beside the car and love it with all your heart.
Well thats all , thought id share with you all. Its a sad time for my 2 ... Hope i didnt bore or waste anyone time .

Oils can be very simple. With age, it is relatively common to spring a leak form the oil pangasket or the valve cover gasket .... or a number of other spots. When I bought Hyde, he had a good 5 or 6 leaks ... we slowly took care of them as we went along. Don't assume doomsday.

The hood thing just happens to cars in general. I saw it happen to someone in front of me a while ago. This is why I installed zute screws on my fiberglass hood.

If you just had a brake job done and the rears are starting to warp, I can alsmot gaurantee you that you have a caliper sticking. The dealer should have checked this when they did your brake job. Caliper rebuild kits are about $20 for each end of the car.

My friend did my brake pads and he said there are calipers sticking to the roter. However, i was running on aftermarket brake pads previoiusly and they might not have fitted well, and they were very low as well. But my friend said it might be fine to drive now since it's not too warped.

As for the leaking problem, most of my friends told me to not worry about it since it is a very small leak, and that to replace it at this time would cost too much. So i guess i'm back on track to start saving money againfor my other upgrades. But thanks for the heads up.
