Alternator Exchange

I am looking to change out the alternator on my 1999 Galant with one that cranks out more amps. I have an I4. When I pull up to a light, my A/C starts to get warm until I start driving again. I also notice that my interior lighting gets dim when sitting at a light but when I rev the engine, the lights get brighter. Our current alternator is like 80 amps & only kicks out ~ 30amps at idle. I am looking for one that has the exact same mounts and kicks about 130amps peak and significantly more than 30amps at idle. Can anyone help me with this? Model numbers or vehicles would be helpful. Thanks in advance.

Onlyphases,
Did you ever find an answer to this? My wife's Galant just lost the alternator, so I would like to replace it with better.
Thanks.

basically you will have to get a custom one.
don't do rewound alternators -> might as well get a custom HighOutput(H.O.) alternator. Me and some other Galant owners are looking to get a group buy going.

Please visit www.dsimports.com (hangout spot for galants & its free)
go to the lounge and introduce yourself and how u got there and I will c if i can find that info for you to post on that site. We have already discussed the best place to do it at the most reasonable price.
