Hot Glue to fix broken sub?

Hey guys, i was wondering if it would be possible to use hot glue to fix one of my broken subs.

First let me describe the problem, it is not that the sub itself is broken persay, but the outer lip is coming off sligthly so when the bass kicks in, the damaged sub makes an annoying reverberating noise while the other one is fine. I notice when i push the lip down a little while the bass plays it sounds just fine so im wondering if it wouldn't hurt if i put hot glue on the sides to connect the lip back onto the side. Or, if you do not think that is a good solution, is there any other way to fix this problem?

my subs are push xlc 10' subwoofers

I personally would not use hot glue. Reason being is that when the interior of your car gets hot the hot can and often does soften and loose grip. I would use a clear silicone and put something heavy on it for about 8 hors..overnight. That should solve your problem.

I have used rubber cement on "plastic" type cones. It lasted several years.

Yea does anyone know how, or what to use to repair torn foam, the gashes are of course from screwing it in and punching a hole in it BECAUSE THE F***IN' SCREW WAS BENT. Anyway, Would silicone eat the foam?

Remember it has to be a flexible compound.

i just used some elmers ultra crazy glue stuff and it worked just fine, it turned into a hard foam substance though so its not the most flexible compound ever. I would rather have used clear silicone but hell my problem is fixed and thats all i care about, isn't there a flexible substance made named liquid rubber or something of the sort?
