Hi

I have a 2.0SRi 1997 p reg Primera.

I conlcuded that my car is a SR20DE model and after checking out websites, found it is 128bhp standard.

I have fitted the following:-

4" Rage Backbox
Magnecor Leads
NGK Plugs
Ecotek Valve
Pipercross Induction Kit with homemade cold air feed

I took the car to be rolling road tuned. I expected the car to be about 140bhp, but found out something weird.

The guy who done the tuning told me my car is a SR20DI model with 115bhp as standard, he showed me a graph after the tuning and showed me he has taken to 125bhp with all the mods.

Is he right and i'm wrong??

Is my car a SR20DI or a SR20DE, cos at the moment it's pretty fast and my 0-60 is around 8½-9 seconds.

Does anyone know whats going on?? :banghead:

Cheers

Ric

SR20Di was used in P10 models, 1990->1994 or something like that. As far as I know, SR20De 125-130hp was used in P10SRI and also some newer P10's and of course 2.0 P11 models.

I believe your car is P11 (first ones were -96/97 models). It has 2.0 option as SR20De and GT model has more powerful SR20DE engine. P11 SRi meant only sport-seats, powered windows in front and a rear spoiler if I remember correctly.

If your car looks like this: (P11) http://www.nissanprimera.net/meetarc/rother/rother27.jpg

it has SR20De engine, 125-130hp standard. Di was not an option in P11's.

If it looks like this: (P10) http://www.nissanprimera.net/meetarc/rother/rother29.jpg

it might have either SR20Di 115hp (2.0 LX/SLX) or SR20De 125hp (SRi) engines.

I must say however all the P10 SRI:s I have ever heard about, have had De engines! Not one of them has had Di:s. That may differ on another countries, so I can't be 100% certain.

A quick conclusion: either that person did not know anything, or your car engine has been swapped or an SRi badge has been added :D
