anyone go to hot import nights at the long beach convention center?

Ive never been to one of these. Just trying to get an idea of what goes on there.

Do you just look at cars, or can you buy and sell things while you are there?

I went to HIN LA 2002 and I thought it was about the lamest show I've been to.

As far as selling things, you can't sell unless you are a vendor, well you can rent out booth space, but you can't private party like sell parts I don't think. There's lots of booths to buy stuff from though.

HIN is basically a carshow inside a night club type setting with lots of models around and dancing on stages set up at the event.

HIN is cool...Matt's just a hater :screwy: hehehe...just playin :iceslolan Well I'm pretty much done with the scene, but I think HIN is definitely the best show out there. I mean I'm sure some people (haters :grinno: ) could find reasons to hate them, but IMO they've got great atmosphere. You can buy things there...normally the bigger companies will have displays set up...I honestly can't ever recall seeing any manufactuers like HKS or Greddy with booths and having parts for sale, but you'll find plenty of APC parts!! You could always stop by the MaxItOut and 360 videos and check out some DVDS. I'd also hit up the Import Culture booth and get some IC gear.
As far as selling stuff, I don't think you can really sell anything there unless you have a booth which I believe is pretty expensive. Anyway, I think you'd have a good time if you went and it's always cool to see everyone "mash" out after the show.

I think HIN LA '02 just sucked period, it was one of the worst I heard.

Now HIN Del Mar, that's another story. I STILL would love to check that one out someday, that one is supposed to be the BEST of the series. :cool:
