mercedes benz 190e

I wanted to know if my car would work for drifting.Its a 1988 mb 190e 2.3L engine, Its a rear wheel drive car and it doesn't have great hp. Stoke its about 150 but since i have moded it's probly higher. Iv been trying to get into drifting and from going from someone who wants the wheels planted 24 7 its a challenge but fun.Some of my mods are a cat back exhaust,sport cam ,highflow filter, ported and polished head,eibach pro front and rear springs, and some old school bbs rims.There the kind u see on the AE86s.From what i can tell the car losens up pretty nice if i want it to and is pretty easy to drift when i mean its easy its easy to control.For ur info my car isn't one of those big mercedes its around the size of a 4 door civic or a 240sx.

well I dont see why you couldnt drift it. Just stiffin up the rear end (if you can adjust it) and go for it.

Is your car stick or auto and whats it weigh?

its a manuel and it weighs 2491 pounds .But thats stoke i dont have a back seat and i have 2 racing seats in the front and the spare is gone and the rims.

If 2490 lbs is heavy, then 240's and FC's are pigs!

o i never saw that just assumed mercedes were heavy, never really read the whole thread was a little to lazy at moment.

What's wrong with a little extra weight in drifting anyway?

it means you wouldn't be able to hold your drift, but it will start to slide the car when you want it to grip at the same time, so either grip or drift, you want lighter.
