Paints drying dull and faded...

alright, im usin auto primer for the models and duplicolor car paint. for some reason, the sides of the car, the front bumper and rear bumper all dried pretty glossy and shiny, but the roof is REALLY dull...and its buggin the heck outta me cause i cant figure out how to get rid of it...thanks in advance for advice.

it does that to me too and i spray over it with dupli color clear and it fixes it i do bout 3 coats of the whole car.

so sprayin some clear on there will fix it? i figured itd make it look uneven since the sides were glossier than the rest.

just wet sand it with a 2000 grit lightlty and then clear

The reason it is fadeing and dulling is because your spraying it on to heavy.

sk8ter, it does it on the mist coats...i misted 3 coats, then 2 heavy coats.

It's humidity, laquers like duplicolor are very sensititive to humidity. You can recoat with clear or it can be rubbed out with polish. Avoid painting on humid days. You can paint on humid days only if done inside in air conditioning or you can if you get the parts into a dehydrator or air conditioned room immediately after painting. I once painted on a humid day and stuck it my work van that had the AC running for about 10 minutes before I put the body in there and it came out great.
