The 930 is air cooled, all 911s were air cooled until the 996 was unveiled.
The reliability really depends on how well the car was taken care of during it's life. If it had regular oil changes with a high grade synthetic oil like Mobil 1, all of it's routine services done at the appropriate intervals, etc, you should have no problems. Keep in mind, the car is more than twenty years old, and there will be many parts wearing out that will need to be replaced in time.
If it wasn't well taken care of, oil changes were skipped, the previous owner ran the car until something broke, and then had it fixed for as cheaply as possible, etc, then it will be a nightmare, and end up costing you many thousands of dollars.
The only way to be sure is to see documentation of work done on the car. Look for a car with good service records, because it could save you tens of thousands of dollars in the long run.
