trans help

i need help i had my trans rebuilt and replaced the tss sensor but i still have trouble with my trans it fine on drive around in the city but when i take it on the freeway and then get off it shfts hard in1 to 2 gears but when i turn off the car i for a min it will run fine went to auto zone it came up 1744 took car back to the shop that rebuilt it they cant figure out whats wrong i been there 5 times . please help

You didn't say what year. It must '96 or later by the code you state, so we'll go with this...The valve body is done. The converter clutch is losing apply pressure hot. Or they got a defective reman torque converter. These CD4Es are horrible with this problem. Don't hold it against the guy working on it. HE DID NOT DESIGN IT! The Transgo kit may or may not fix it. Tell the tranny rebuilder to get a hold of, the name of the place is...ValveBody Express. Or buy a reman ValveBody from Ford. Thats pretty much all there is to it(unless someone is overlooking something really simple) The tranny guy and you will not like the price of the valve body.
