hey all my dads dumping his subie wagon and looking into an used A4 now we both know some things and not too sure on trim opts and what not. he wants the 1.8T 5spd leather. Now do they have heated seats too? Anything to look out for? Any years better then others any to avoid?
hes wants to add intake exhaust and ECU for power a wheel and tire pakage and some springs and shocks and leave it at that for upgrades. Any good *light* wheels you can think of for the A4?
They all are AWD correct?
Well thanks for your time.

I say go for it, I love mine!! For wheels, the ATP Razze wheels are cool, but one of my favorites are the RS4 replicas. Yes, you can find A4's with heated seats. They are great for modding, cause of the turbo, and they're a blast to drive. Only unless you get one with the sport suspension, get new springs and shocks. Heck, go ahead and get new springs even if you do have the sport suspension. Good luck hunting for the beauty!

I got 3 friends who got 1.8t's. One of them works on his fanatically, and the others just love theirs stock. There's a couple of options for an ECU upgrade, garret being the best. No matter what you do, you can't go wrong with Audi.

OK thanks well are there any years to aviod aim for?
problems quirks little tricks and tips perhaps as we've taken one out for a test drive and loved it! So were pretty much sure were going with one but not sure what one is best.

A 2001 A4 1.8t would be the best, I think, if you want it used. There are many upgrades available for that version.

i currently have a 2000 a4 1.8t.. quattro..
and since no one has answered your question yet..
there are no year you really need to steer away from, but the newer the better, and also.. they are not all awd.. only the quattro version comes with awd, the rest are frontrak.. which is obviously 2wd..
they make a lot of good chips for the a4, and lots of other mods.. you'll have no problem with your current plan.. goodluck
