I am about to embark on a long trip in my 84 Bird turbo coupe with 233,000 KMs on the clock (145,000 miles). And am using about 14.87 litres for every 100 KM's (about 25 miles per gallon). This is combined city and highway driving.
What is everyone else getting? My understanding is that I am doing good in fuel consumption but I am curious if I truly am doing good. I am looking at driving about 2500 KM (1500 miles) and I want to use as little fuel as possiable. I definitely am going to change my oil, but I will do a tune up if people here think I can do better.
So what do you say my fellow thunderbird brethren? Can I use less fuel? Or should I leave my car alone :)
Thank you
