Just open the clips and move the top of the box out of the way.The other stuff will move with it.

As an added thought, some Toyotas can collect dirt and leaves on the bottom of the air filter box. I was always surprised by how much dirt was there on my old Tercel (I'd use a small vacuum). Dunno if it does this in a Camry. Dunno how much of a difference it makes, either, but I surely prefer things to be clean. Anyone else experience this?

My 92 Tercel, 95 Camry and 00 Tundra all get dirt and leaves in the bottom of the airbox. Don't know how in the world leaves get in there!

The dirt and leaves at the bottom, below the filter, show the filter is doing it's job. The air flows in from a large tube, much lower than the air filter box. It is usually located at the front corner behind the driver's side bumper area. As you drive, air is actually lightly forced in to this tube at the bottom and up toward the air filter box, but the water, (when it is raining) is heavier than the air and is mostly kept away from the air filter box. The leaves and dirt come in with the air and are kept from going beyond the air filter and in to the throttle body slightly upstream and then in to the engine. The leaves and dirt below the air filter element are what is being kept out by the filter and show it is doing it's job. I hope this all makes sense.

Thanks for Your help
Also wondering does the Air filter box opens like a book
or it has no attachments on the bottom side of the box
Manual said that there are 4 clips, but showing only 2
thanks
