Hello,

This site seems to have some very smart people on it, so Im hoping Someone could give me a few ideas other than the ones i have, First things first Im pretty low on the dough and am Hoping that I dont have an major major repair, But the problem consists of my 95 Chevy Astro Stalling after it has traveled highway speed, I had it tested with a diag test and i got codes for the EGR, and The O2, I pulled the EGR and Cleaned it, looked to me like it was functioning quite well, seems as though after i replaced it the idle was a bit smoother, Next I changed the fuel filter it looked like it hadnt been changed at all. I have yet to check out the O2 sensor but is there any way that i can clean it or find out if it is working properly? hoping that this bugger is the culprit but i dunno, Is it also possible that the fuel pressure may not be ideal? Granted this engine has nearly 200000 on it but it has no leaks and is mechanically sound other than this problem. I would really appreciate any thoughts anyone might have on how to tackle this problem and come up with the right fix or solution. Thank you.

The EGR on several years of astro van has been recalled do to faulty engineering. Check with a dealer, it may be a FREE fix.
