hi, we own a 2001 windstar SEL, and sometimes when I get out of it, the brake light will stay on (all 3) and won't go off, I am worried about it draining the battery, and potentially being dangerous (if it happens while driving) I was wondering if anybody else has had this problem? is there something that needs to be greased or a sensor that could be malfunctioning?,......figures just happens out of warrentee..... thanks

Locate the brake light switch at the top of the brake pedal. Check the connections, and proper switch operation. You may be able to clean it with electrical contact cleaner.

Happened with my 200 Windstar, and we just oiled the brake "plunger" which took care of the problem.
