pretty sure that everyone here is probally using theres. you seem to have found some pretty cheap ones, you will probally get what you pay fore though.
But you don't have any money so why bother...
BTW, that 2nd link is not a compressor just an air tank that you would have to take to a gas station to fill up everytime it went low

How do you use these arent they used for inflating tires?

How do you modify them for an airbrush?

you might be able to cut the fitting off and attach the correct one but i would not, those are loud and you cannot control the psi on them.
It might work but i wouldn't bother.
I use this one
http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/ctaf/Displayitem.taf?itemnumber=41808
It was suggested to me by someone here before christmas so that is what my fieonce bought me.
It is excelent and quiet.

i really don't know, i would not get it b/c you would probally have to cut off the fitting, buy the correct one, and fit it on.
Just up to you, if i was going to buy it i would get the biggest i could afford and still be able to carry it back and forth to the service station to fill up.
Not sure how this will work so i can't suggest for you to get it.

A cheap airbrush is a bad idea and a waste of money!
The really cheap ones are worse than a bad spray can. I had one of the cheap Badgers when I was your age and wasted a lot of time trying to get it to work for me. The Testors sets they sell at Walmart and such are not terrible but you will spend a lot on cans of 'air'.
Lots of very good paint jobs are done with 'rattle cans'. Air brushes can be hard to master and don't guarantee a perfect paint job!
:p

Ok...
Model paint is about $2 a bottle, while you can buy a can of spray paint for about that...so lets call it even.

Air tanks, Most of the chain discount auto part stores have tanks on sale quite often for as little as $20. I do think you should buy a good airbrush ($40 to $80 range). I know that one of the airbrush companys that sell online has a adapter that makes it safe and easy to use a air tank for your air supply. (I just don't remember who)

ok i might use airtank with a pretty good airbrush, that will cost around 80$ for a pretty good airbrush and tank, or i can buy rattle cans wich costs around $2 each, but i have to buy little model paints (for small parts) and rattle cans (for the body).

that is why i want to buy airbrushes, so i only have to buy model paint and then put the paint in the airbrush so when i want to spray body, i can. and when i want to use hand brush for small brushes i can.

I still dont know which suits me better.

I am getting an air tank this evening for my airbrush (I also have a Badger Cyclone II compressor but it sucks, cant regulate air pressure). It's a Craftsman 5 gal. 135 max PSI tank. My only question is...how the hell do you fill them up? I was thinking I could just take it down to the local gas station and use the free tire inflator thing, but Im not sure that would work. Any ideas?

Dont you need a constant pressure of air? and dont tanks slowly run out?

of course it does, yo i was wondering the same thing too, i was wondeirng if the gas station air is for free, but i know once you fill like a 7 gallon tank you can do two models without pressure goingg down much. and air tanks are cheaper. once like you have more money or like you grow bigger than you can get a cheap compressor and then install the tank.

So what do you think, do you think that will work?
