Hey, ive never owned/driven either one, but have heard a tremendous amount of good things about the vr6

I'd rather have the 1.8T. You get more out of the engine for less.

I prefer the VR6 more power and less stress on the engine besides the superchargers tend to breakdown after a long period of time and are damn expensive and without a supercharger whats the point

Yea I'm a supercharger fan myself. But like I was saying you get more for paying less with a G60. The superchargers are better for the hole shot you get power right away instead of waiting for your BOV.

i would have gone with the either vr6 or the g60 if i could have found one when i was looking. i held out for over 3 months waiting for a decent corrado for sale in my area and it never came up.
and by the way VW_Redliner... you look like a real dumbass on your sig when you tell people not to buy honda and you cant spell Porsche correctly. :flipa:

I love the G60, as for cost, it is cheaper to rebuild a g60 charger, and the engine, than it is to rebuild a VR6 engine. And aftermarket parts are cheaper for a G60 than a VR6. The only good point on a VR6 over a G60 is that a V6 idles smoother than a damn 4cyl but hey, the world isn't perfect.

The VR6. Although G60's are cheap, they are very, very high maintence. The G ladder in their supercharger has to be replaced every 30K or so and corrado parts are getting more expensive and rare by the year. If your comparing power, the G60 is a supercharged 4 cyl with 150hp, the VR6 has 178hp and loads of low end torque because of the 6. If your going to buy one get a 93 or 94 SLC. Although you won't find a 94 (unless your super lucky) because their were only roughly 900 made. Your sure to find a 93. Both years only option is the VR6, they stopped making the G60 in 92 with the intro of the VR6.

haha ur right, he still didnt fix his sig. what a dumb ass. good choice in getting the prelude though. i just got a corrado myself but after this, im gonna go for a prelude, 4th gen like urs.

That is absolutely not true at all, 30k is very low. its more like 80k to 100k. my car survived 130k without a replacement. you dont even need to replace it. you just need to rebuild it.
i would go for the vr6. i would rather have a more powerful v6 then a v4.

As I promised before I now have pictures of my 16V Corrado G60 on my web page. Please feel free to check them out. Let me know what you think... Of course, the real idea would be to give everyone a ride, but not exactly practicle...

I would most definitly go vr6, I love corrados, and i love the vr6 engine, put them together and MMMMM...
The G60 is nice, but high maintnance and less power, and from what Ive heard a lot less reliable...

It's not so much the cars, it's the owners [some of them at least].

Well, none of my comments were sexual, so actually, I think you are a horny bastard since you turned both comments into one... :)

I still prefer the G60 over the vrg, but I guess if you built up a vr6 motor, and put a turbo on it with nos running about 22psi, my thoughts might change, but I can't afford to do that, I can however afford to do it to a G60...

anything is possible, I hase seen f350's in vw beetles, it just depends on how much, time, money, and knowledge you have, and then is it worth it. I find it fun to do difficult things, the money is where I run into problems, before I was married it was easier, not nly what is left goes into my projects...

well I am technically still G60, even though the charger is all that is left from the G60 engine, but, that will be replaced in the near future with a turbo. 18psi just isn't enough, and I am gonna kill my charger shortly....
