why ricers shouldn't drift

this picture shows what happens when a ricer thinks drifting is easy and buys a nice expensive "drift car" and takes it out drifting.

I don't know if this happened from a drift or not... but its a good example of how your car could look if you don't know how to drift(or sometimes even if you do) poor S15 :(

no, this is what happens when you try to drift on the street...

ricer or not accidents happen... you do it on the street, you will hit a pole, a curb, a car or a person...

KEEP IT ON THE TRACK

Um, are we calling Japanese people "ricers" now? I thought that was just a colorful word for their cars.

Soyo, im not for ricers drifting, but I mean if you want to drift you are going to be new sometime. And you cant call that car a ricer its a stock S15.

I'm not saying that a ricer did that, I'm just saying, most ricers think its all easy to do and try to do it and wreck their car... notice at the bottom where I said "its a good example of how your car could look if you don't know how to drift(or sometimes even if you do)" so don't be mad at me for saying ricer... I said this is what could happen, I even said I don't know how the car was wrecked, be it a drift or not. so calm down people

Yup, boring, its just a crashed car. I though it was going to be some kit with his foot out the window smashing to a poll. Now that would be a good example:)

I think people/kids in Japan are a little more sophisticated than us here... they know there limits. I don't think you see too many accidents that bad out there like you do here! There are too many retards on this side of the pond that think they know it all... this is a Japanese motor-sport that has been honed for two decades!!! The Japanese are way ahead of us in everything: cars, electronics, tuning, driving, racing, and drifting. GIRLS.... Women in Japan drift way better than most of us here (look @ highlights in BattleMagazine and DriftTengoku). WE MUST KNOW our limits and not be stupid like that guy in that picture! A Perfect Example of a Ricer! STUPID!

The Japanese are ahead in driving.

Which is why there have been two American F1 world champions, and I can't recall one Japanese F1 race winner.

The Japanese are ahead in tuning.

Which is why John Lingenfelter (Godspeed, John), Reeves Callaway, Warren Mosler, Carroll Shelby, and Steve Saleen have been in business for decades, even producing their own cars.

The Japanese are ahead in electronics.

Which is why video games were pioneered by American Nolan Bushnell and the most powerful home console on the market is the Microsoft Xbox.

The Japanese are ahead in racing.

Which is why some SCCA divisions (like Trans Am and Formula Vee) are celebrating their fortieth annversary, while most Japanese race circuits aren't yet that old, and why D1 had to call on the SCCA to supply corner workers for the Irwindale event (which was the highest paying and highest attended D1 event in the circuit's history).

The Japanese are ahead in drifting.

Which is why in the 60's oval track drivers in sprint cars developed the "Jacob's Ladder", an intricate bellcrank lever that counteracts the right rear suspension's movement, transferring weight to the left rear suspension, forcing the tail to slide out in order to maintain momentum. Basically a mechanical Scandinavian flick.

Japan is not some mystical place where all things are possible. It's a country where they've done some incredible things to refine available ideas, where there are many intelligent engineers and brilliant artists, and where they've created a quite intellectual society that incorporates both tradition and progress. However, it's no paradise.

I'm talking about on the street.... the tuners... the everyday car-guys! Your points are valid... but so are mine! I'm not talking as a professional i.e. F1 or sprint, nor did I say Japan was a mystical-land ... I'm talking amatuer drift here, buddy! On the street!

No offense, but there are just as many retards in Japan as there are here. When I lived in Switzerland I always heard of amatuer Japanese climbers taking too many risks and getting killed constantly. Also have you seen that Japanese game show "Most Extreme Elimination Challenge" on Spike TV? No offense but they look pretty retarded and recless to me.

ONCE-AGAIN: I AM T-A-L-K-I-N-G (insert sign lanuage here) ABOUT DRIFTING!!! You should not feel offended unless you are one of those "retards" that think they are already the New Drift King of America and go and smash-up their S15 (Japan-spec) at 100mph by pulling up on their e-brake to hard!!! YES! There are many stupid people like this over here! I have seen them... and so have you! And I said MANY... not ALL! Are we catching on yet? Or do you want to continue to be stuborn?

Ok, now lets just stop this argument ok. If you guys are going to argue about it you should know why they are so advanced and industrial. In the 1800s when people where actually alowed in Japan, America and most fo the European nations pumped a ton of money into them. This happend once again after WWII. America and Euro countries spent more money on Japan than themselves. Now Japan is one of the largest steel manufacturers, and are great with technology and electronics, and cars. Toyota is now the second largest car company. The Car complany in first place is GM, GM is also the largest COMPANY in the world.

I do not want to argue! Thank-you! But I'm talking about DRIFT, guys! I know all about Japan's history and economics! You guys are missing what I'm talking about here! It's not about the Nations and whose better! It's about DRIFT! This is like a bad Twilight Zone... is anyone listening??? Anyone catching what I am saying?

Not trying to be out of context, but I am. I thought that Ford was the largest company in the world. I'm willing to admit that I am wrong, but, I thought it was.

Sorry bout that, yes I must agree Japan is the sharpest at Drifting. When I visited Japan this summer, I noticed that they played abought more concentration games. Because it seems like they are more relaxed I am guessing that they have a little bit more patients (not saying that they all do).
