heres the story...

i was on my way home from Borders last night after buying a couple books and i was about 2 miles from home when i see blue lights flashing behind me. just great. :frown: so i pull over...its pouring down rain so i roll down the window a bit..."excuse me ma'am, but do you know why i pulled you over?" i didnt and i told him that. he said that i was swerving/swaying. i explained to him that there were big puddles built up on the edges of the road and i try to avoid hitting them 'cause i dont particularly want to hydroplane. he accuses me of drinking (on a friggin monday night at 730pm) and says to wait where i was, he'd be right back. about 10 min later another cop shows up. DUI Task Force. They make me get out of the car and do the sobriety tests (all like 100 of them) in the pouring rain...then gave me a breathalizer. they said that i had no alcohol on my breath (duh) and that this was a warning this time. next time they'll ticket me. so i get back in my car...drenched from the rain and go home and get the 100 ?s about why im soaked and staying out of trouble. damn cops :angryfire:

sorry its so long...just needed to vent

why the heck did they give you the sobriety tests when they had a breathalizer? just to make sure you are not on some other drugs too or something?

but anyway it sucks when cops go all out on you....sorry to hear about that...

I swerve around big puddles on the shoulder of the road too, I must have been drinking every time it rains.....

Not often I get annoyed at things police do, but they were just being knuckle-heads to make you go through that in the rain.

That really blows!! Some cops have nothing better to do. I usually swerve around puddles after I've just washed my car, but if it was raining heavily I could see that to. You don't want to put your car into the curb.

What I don't understand is, they tell it's just a warning? A warning for what, and they will ticket you next time?? For what....drunk driving....when they just proved you weren't.

Exactly: a warning for what?

If you got the officer's name file a complaint. After all there no point putting you through all the tests if the asshole had a breathaliser in the first place.

at least it was a warning. i can't believe that officer made you go through all that...what a jerk...I wouldn't worry too much about it. Yeah i must be a sign of a drunk driver when i swerve to miss huge puddles of water....

I drive a truck.....i just hit the puddles :grinno: Seriously, those cops must've been bored as heck to pull you over for swerving. Cops: "Whoa! That one's so wasted he'd swerving around every puddle! Bust him!"

I hit the puddles too, cuz splashing people on the sidewalk is great.
That cop thinks he's above the law, plain and simple and should be stripped of his shield...this is why people like me have games like GTA to get our aggression out towards crooked cops :banghead:

amen to that. i always get em 6 stars and kill em with my tank. :evillol:

just shows that the cop had nothing to do...maybe trying to meet his quota for the day.

You must do things to goats other than launch them.

Whenever I have ever been pulled over, its loud pipes that have gotten their attention. They pull me over, check the ownership, etc then let me go. Its as if they just need an excuse to snoop. Looking for what? Alcohol on the breath?
Dialated pupils?
Their teenage daughter in my car?

Does this happen to anyone else?

Next time give the cop the finger and tell him you demand a breathalizer, blow a zero and split. If your inocent call them on it. Tell the bastard you got shit to do.

It makes me wonder if they pay the cops extra for being pricks.
