Hi :smokin:
I've got a Mazda 13B rotary engine that I want to adapt to my 914. I'll be using the kennedy engineering adapter kit. The car was originally a 1.8L with the stock tranny. I have heard that you need to go with the sport tranny that shipped with the 2.0L 914 because it's beefer. Is that so?
If any one has any information on things to think about when doing this conversion, could you drop a line on the thread. thanks
Rich

The 13B is a fantastic engine for the 914. Go to:
http://web2.airmail.net/atl/Rotary.html
to see a complete write up on one swap.
I am very happy with the turbo rotary in mine (911).
Take seriously what he says about how loud the engine is. The turbos are much quieter tha the non-turbos.
The amount of power for the size and weight of the engine are fantastic. Also, you do not run into problems with gearing. The Rpm range for the 13B is well suited to the transaxle.
Let me know how it goes.

Just when you thought you'd run out of places to stick a 13b... you rotar-heads are insane, but i give you much respect. That rotary 911 and 914 would make any purist ready for blood, but i'd drive it in a heart beat. Please keep me posted on the developments with your 914.
