Movie Goers Beware

Yet another vent by myself, hopefully to be the last for a while!!

Me and my friend went to go to see the movie Timeline last night. (laugh, and I'll hit you) We were one of the first people there, and we sat pretty secluded in the upper left corner.

After a while (before the previews) a group of teenagers sits down right next to us (when I say teenager I mean 11th or 12th grade). We were kind of annoyed because groups of teens (like myself) can be totally stupid and annoying at times. We could always move though, right?

About half way through the movie a fat movie worker went and told us to get our stuff. We both gave our best 'WTF' response. So we go outside to talk to him. He explains that he had a customer come in "shaking with rage" that we were talking so much.

Shaking with rage? Woah, I think we have a mental case here. We're in a PG-13 movie, not a dramatic love story. And, it wasn't use who was talking so much. Apparently, whoever this prattling, bitching complainer couldn't ASSERT himself to tell us to be quiet or anything. We didn't even get the infamous STFU.

So, Mr. AMC movie worker is talking to us. We'll just use the term Obnoxious to call him, because I forgot his name. Obnoxious says we shouldn't have gotten a warning because talking is their only rule, and we broke it.

When I kindly (or not so kindly) pointed out that is wasn't us, he gave me the 'child dismissal.' You may ask what is a 'child dismissal'? Since we're both 14, a 'child dismissal' is when adults (21 or older) bitch about something unreal, or untrue, and Obnoxious (or whoever your lucky escorter is) DISMISSES you for lying!! WTF?!?!

I thought that was BS, and promptly told him so. There is a reason that there are Amendments right, and #1 is the first to pop into my mind.

He made his case that this person (probably like the Wal-mart trampled woman) was shaking with rage, that WE were talking so much. If your "shaking with rage" shouldn't you at least nab the right people? Maybe there is some truth to the saying that rage blinds you. Damned assholes.

My friend got his money back because he had his ticket stub, I had lost it or something.... We weren't causing them to lose money, we weren't movie hopping, and yet we still go accused wrongly and kicked the hell out. And if there would've been someone 21+, we would've gotten a first warning. I mean seriously, if someone is that pissed, I would've immediately halted all conversation, even if it were explaining that I have to pee.

Thanks AMC Stonebriar in Frisco, TX. I hope Obnoxious, and the complainer get severely punished in the near future.

I guess what irks me, is that whoever could get away with it. WHY would someone go out of their way to do something like that, without even asserting themselves to say "stop."

This is bothering me!! Guys, avoid AMC theatres, I sure the hell am.

Has this ever happened to any of you before? Share your movie going disasters!!! :icon16:

It still pisses me off by the way!!

Yeah - that whole scenario sucks. To bad you're going to have to get used to it or it'll drive you nuts the rest of your life.

Simple. Get over it. And boycott the theatre.

We went to see Dreamcatcher ages ago, behind us some drunken fuckwit teenager was being an ass, and several people told him to STFU. One guy in front of him did the same, and was told "I'll see you after the movie". So said movie goer turns around, grabs fuckwit by the shirt and goes "I WILL see you after the movie, now shut the fuck up". He was quiet after that, as soon as the credits rolled we heard a shuffle as the fuckwit RACED out of the theatre and disappeared. Cue laughter from the entire audience...

Movie was average btw.

"shaking with rage" WOW. :eek7: It's a FUCKING PAUL WALKER MOVIE! if you're "shaking with rage" because somehow, your missing out on a Paul Walker movie, it's probably because the little voices in your head told you to "shake with rage".

Whoever this stupid fucking older asshole is, "shaking with rage", because he/she supposedly got gyped out of maybe 7 -10 dollars when all they had to do was simply ignore them or move closer to the screen, i hope to whatever holy being exists that you see this post, and sfter you read, your CRT explodes and 20 fucking shards of glass displace themselves in your face causing massive brain damage, (although your already brain damaged).

That's my bit...feel free to quote me and say what ever smartass remarks are necessary to fulfill your worthless lives...

I'm Out!!

Haha!! I thought that was funny. Hmmm, the parts of the movie we saw actually looked relatively interesting. Paul walker had the long hair hippie-type thing in the works though. Everyone had a British accent. Not going to that theatre again. Let's try Cinemark! :icon16:

[White] [Comic Sans MS]

I know what your talking about Bobby 28384, the same thing happened to me on Friday. I went to go see Timeline as well with one of my friends, by the way there's nothing wrong with Paul Walker.
Anyways we were at the movies and these hot girls were sitting to the right of me and my friend (they smelled good) but looked a little on the pimpley side. Later on these guys came next to me and at first they smelled alright (im not gay), but afterwards it smelled like crap was eaking out of their asses.
I saw a kid go down the steps and then a moment later came back in to the theater, he's my first suspect on who squeeled on us, but the guys sitting next to us also left, so it could've been them too.
About, not even halfway between the movie, a big goofey walking freak with a walkie-talkie on his hip, came waddling up the stairs. He pointed directly at me and my friends and said, "You 2 come with me." So we followed him and when he reached the door he said "Have a nice day." (I would've laughed harder at the toad and the lighting joke) and he didn't even tell us what was going on.
:flipa: Luckily he gave me my money back, but my friend didn't have his stub so he didn't get his money back, but he only paid $2.00 anyway so it didn't really matter.
Just a little tip always keep your ticket, because you never know when someone might be so horror struck that they're shaking with rage, and need to feel the erge to pull a kindergarden move on you. (when someone tells on you)

One time i went to see a movie (im 21) and these kids (under 16) snuck in and sat in the back and started making all sorts of noise. Well the guy behind me got on his cell phone and called the theater and asked, "How old do you have to be to see Underworld" (I think it was underworld, it was something vampire) then we heard. "Ah, ha, Well, im in theather 7 and there are some kids that snuck and wont stop talking. Soon enough COPS came, not security, not the guy poping corn, COPS. They were like, "YOU, how old are you?" "well then you didnt buy a ticket did you, let me see your stub" sure enough they snuck in a were escorted out to call their parrents.
