DDLinear speakers are now featuring in the 2003/2004 summer catalogue. you can download a pdf copy from the australian alpine website. Unfortunatly that is about all the info that can be found on the speakers. They are replacing the DDDrive speaker range apparently and the top of the line DDLinear Component Speakers Retail at $899 Australian which if double the price of the Type R components which have the same Peak Power and RMS Power.

Type R components blow, if you can pick these up for a decent price i would check them out. Listen to the type x components in your local shop. If I remember correctly we had these speakers for a short while quite a few years ago, don't what i liked about them...but it stuck. Otherwise I would say look at diamond hexes, or focal

X Series 6.5" components are also cheaper than the equivilant DDLinear components. Alpine in Australia is offering system packages that combine the DDLinear speaker range with other Alpine products. About $300.00 saving on RRP if you brought the products seperatly.
