Ok, I have a lightning audio bolt amp, I know I know lighting audio is shit, I'm never gettin anything from them again but befor I go out and buy a new amp can anyone give me any help on how to fix this one?
Whenever I turn on the stereo the amp flashes on for about half a second then the red "protect" light comes up, so far I've checked all the wires and nothing is grounded out, tried turning down the gain and Ive disconected the rca cables and sub but I'm still getting that damn light. ANY help will be greatly appriciated. If it matters i have a jvc headunit and im running 1 Kenwood sub. Thanks to all!

It's possible the amp took a shit, your battery drained too much and your voltage dropped too low to run the amp, but was still high enough to turn it on, your fuse could have burned out but is still making enough of a connection to turn on the amp but not enough to power it, etc. You never really know with car audio, lol. Hopefully GSteg can help you though, if not then post away and maybe the rest of us can throw some ideas at you

he has the same amp i use to have. from the looks of it, when i talked to him on AIM, its the amp that is jacked up. lol. hopefully lightning audio will replace it. its only 4 months old since the other one was traded in because it was broken. :p

thank god! no more lighting audio shit, I just replaced the amp with money towrds a new one, The guy working there gave me a good deal on a namsung dual amp, so im all set, now just one more tiny little question Im asking for a friend, hes running 2 subs but one is a 10" at 600 watts and a 8" at 250 watts can he bridge them off the same amp or somehow run both subs on the same amp without messing anything up? (or are we stupid and should we just plug both of them into the left and right speaker outs?)

tell your friend to only run 1 sub, running different subs, not to mention different SIZES sounds like ass
