Hey,i am currently thinking about changing the stock muffler of my
car to a cooler sounding one,ive heard lots of straigth through mufflers
on small engines like paseos tercels and my 1.6 corolla, and i personally dont think they sound so bad at all. However i would like to
see some suggestions about what muffler would sound best and perform best for my 1992 AE92 Corolla Sedan.I have narrowed my
search to Flowmaster,Dynomax and Magnaflow.Personally ive never heard a flowmaster on a corolla 1.6 engine so i would like your opinion.
What exhaust would sound the best in terms of a good but not so loud
tone that cops doesnt detect as easy as the straight through designs.
Based on your experience what would be the best muffler in terms of
performance and sound for my engine? Also consider I have no cat but
instead straight pipe. While i put in a high flow i know this will make
any muffler i put sound louder.Ill apreciate if you could help me.

anykind of car will sound great with staight throught muffler but a mandral bent system but do not go over kill on the diamiter on stuch a small diplacement engine as good backpressure needs to be sustaing to make actual power gains

for a corolla, you should contact the good people at folgers who make a quality muffler for japanese vehicles.
some welding may be required however.
