Hi all, im just playing around on some dirt roads drifting my civic (or atleast trying to ) and I've been having some problems with my Heel to Toe. The car is a 99' Civic Si and I wear a Size 12 shoe, my problems occur when trying blip the throttle, it seems my gas pedal is hard to get and control, its almost like I'm just clipping the edge of it or something, and I'm not able to get good control with it while braking. I've tried practing with the car off, and it just seems like the pedal setup in my car sucks. Has anyone else driven a civic and had to overcome this problem?

yes i once had to overcome the problem of driving a civic

what are you thinking? geeze it's a fwd car, i'm sure you'll get lots more flak for even speaking of this devil.

to answer your question: i've driven a civic before, and to me the whole pedal setup seemed natural compared to other cars. so you may just be doing it awkward, i've not had problem. i never attempted a heel toe cause i never had to but it seems like it would be easier in these civics. just my 2 cents..

Try different combinations, don't just stick to what you read. I have a Honda too, and I heel-toe it on every downshift. It takes a ton of practice, and lots of different placements of the foot to get it right. I have size 11 shoes, and I put my heel on the brake as I blip the gas with the right side of my shoe. Just go out there and keep trying till you find something comfortable.
