Ok I have a automatic car with overdrive on my shift knob. I never use it and I was wondering if I could buy a new automatic shift knob and it would fit even with the overdrive. Now I know there wouldn't be a button for the overdrive, but it doesnt matter cause I dont use it. Would the new shift knob fit? or would the overdrive get in the way?

This is a very car-specific question, the only way we could know is if we have personal experience with the model of vehicle you own. The best way to find out is to remove the stock gear knob.
I would advise caution, and if possible, that you buy a dealership repair manual for your car, or ask to look at the one in the dealership.
Personally, I would guess that there really shouldnt be a problem anyway, as the overdrive button is probably just a switch in an electric circuit.
