Hello All,
I am new to this forum, so I don't know if this has been discussed to death yet. But I am in the process of choosing a used car to purchase as my next vehicle. A little history, I use to drive a 96-97 Dodge Stratus ES which I loved, although it had its problems particularly with its mushy brakes and horrid acceleration. The reason I got rid of it was because of its many tranny problems as well as brake problems. I'm currently in a Camry loaner, which I just don't feel right in, its feels too "big" and I get uncomfortable in it when I am making tight turns, feels like I'm tipping almost.
I'm not a racer by any means, the most important aspects to me is the driving experience and comfort. I live to drive, its my santuary =). I'm looking for a ride that is smooth as silk and rock solid. What I'm worried about is maintance and I've been hearing some things about the acura's tranny problems as well as the lexus having serious wind noise problems at higher speeds (highway). Styling is important, but with these vehicles, I just like to drive and be able to relax and have fun.
What are your opinions.
Thanks

The TL is sportier and most likely much more fun to drive than the ES300. The ES300 is quiet and very comfortable in that luxury-car way. That's what it boils down to, basically.

the es300 never did much for me. nice car, but the fun factor isn't there. pretty blah if you ask me. even though the tl doesn't look any more exciting, at least it gets some more power under the hood and like genjy said, a more sporty character to it.

I currently own a 2002 Acura 3.2 TL with the "euro" package and I am really loving it. It's got luxary and speed, a truly sick car!
A good bang for the buck.
