I have a A4 1.8t and was wondering if it would make any differance in performance. Thanks

To be honest the A4 already has a blow off valve. The only reason you should hear the blow off valve is if to much pressure is being built up. The valve releases the pressure. Audi has it set so you can have the most power from the car. By adding the blow off valve so your hear the "whistle" is only robbing your turbo of power. If you want the noise then add it but your car will run slower.....

Actually the A4 doesn't have a blow off valve. It has a diverter valve and yes, there is a difference. A blow off valve vents boost back into the atmosphere and not back into the air box for re-use. I've listed a site below that covers the topic rather well.

Thanks guys. now What do you guys think should be first done. Intake, Exhaust, or some sort of ECU upgrade? I think it would make sense to do the ECU after those 2 but what do you think?

Depends on what you like. Personally I'd do suspension first, then chip and exhaust. As far as intake there aren't too many out their that are proven to have any performance improvements. You'd be better off saving some cash and just going with an ITG drop in filter.

Def. add a sway bar. I have a neuspeed sway bar on my A4 and let me tell you, this car could take a 90 degree turn at 90 and wouldnt spin out :evillol:

THANK YOU SO MUCH. you guys are awsome. i will be getting a performance air fillter first then a sway bar and then a Exhaust system.
Cat back? or what. I was also wodering if a down pipe is a good idea and if i could even use it with my stock exhaust system?

You could check out a test pipe if you want max flow.

If i were you i would defintley get the exhaust then the intake. If u can i would go with the BOV aslo because it will make ur car sound so much better and if u r really serious then go ahead and put a nice little GIAC chip in. Ur car would be so sick.

all i can say is screw the stock bosch diverter valve. it fails at 13psi. It doesnt add any horsepower but it does make the power curve a lot prettier. There is a company out of Australia called Go Fast Bits who make a great hybrid diverter/BOV. It helps because the MAF will cause havoc on your idle and you will stall with a regular BOV.

The chip will probably make the most noticeable difference in your car performance wise! so get the chip ASAP.
