Hi everyone!

I was wondering if I could get in touch with FTO owners in AUSTRALIA, (specificially in sydney), as I have saved up my money and looking to buy a GPX or GP v R FTO. But I have a few questions that have been bugging me and would like to ask for some help..

The biggest worry i have so far, is that because its a low volume import, what are the cost of parts for the FTO? eg.) Wear and tear parts such as brakes, clutch, timing belt, fuel filter, oil filter, cv joints.. so on. Friends have told me that i should steer clear of imports due to this reason, but i'm hoping the FTO owners here in Australia have found some sort of supplier or system for obtaining parts at reasonable prices.

Also, how have you found the reliability of this car? ie. as a daily driver, does it cope well and is it fuel efficient?

Anyway, thanks a lot for taking the time to read my thread.. hopefully you guys and girls can help me out with this one! If things go bad, i'll just go for the crx del sol.. LOL

CHEERS!

I had the same worries when I bought mine 5 years ago. Trust me no need to worry. Most parts can be bought second hand if you know where to look. A lot of other wear n tear parts are the same as others ie front brake pads are same as Mitsubishi Shogun/pajero just an example. Fuel; not the best but for the pleasure you get it's well worth a tiny bit extra. Reliability was invented by Mitsubishi. I know I'm from the wrong side of the planet but it's pretty much the same over here. Hope this helps.
