4 Door 350Z???

Well, a nissan representative entered the store I worked at today and of course we began discussing the Z. Then he started telling me about a new Z coming out that is 4 doors! He said its a done deal and it should be out in the next 4 months or so. Now I'm a huge nissan fan, but I have heard NOTHING about a 4 door 350Z that has been in the making. He said its suppose to look like the G35 but its a Z. Now I didn't know what to do...whether to ignore what he said because of the knowledge I have about nissan, or believe him because he worked directly from a nissan dealership and I'm sure they have information on upcoming cars. So I was wondering if anyone has heard about a 4 door Z? to be honest, I think he was full of crap :screwy: I can see if they try and do something with 4 seats in a Z, but to have 4 doors, it wouldn't be the same.

Sounds like BS to me. Maybe nissan will get a sedan on the v35 chassis? :dunno: Can't imagine thay'd badge it as a Z, though.

Do you think they customer service folks at the 800# would confirm it? Because I have a family that I actually have to drive around sometimes :-) a 4-door would appeal to me too (guaranteed me back seat for daughter, right?!)! Maybe I'll call to find out!

Don't but into his crap...There is no 4-Door 350Z coming out...The closest thing to a coupe and sedan set of twins is the G35 pair...That's the Skyline in Japan and he probably either made it up or is making some really bad assumptions because he'd like to see a 350Z sedan brother...The GTR had a sedan model once but that's over with...The Z car is meant to be a sports car...

when i went to loof at the SE-R's when they first came out a nissan rep toldme that the 04 maxima was going to be redone(which was true but he told me it would be a RWD V8. and when i asked if it was the engine out of the Q45 he looked at me and said "what's that?"

they're just employees, not always enthusiasts.

A paid Nissan rep said that. Pure nonesense The done deal is being sold at your local Infiniti dealer, it's called the G35 sedan.

Quote from page 159 oct 2003 Car&driver short take test of the G35 sedan 6MT

"Say hello to the 4-Door Z"

They got 0-60mph in 5.9 and the 1/4 in 14.2 at 99mph .87g's on the skidpad and it braked from 70mph in 153ft And that's on 215/55-17 tires all the way around.

Both are FM platforms that share most everthing that matters. Suspensions are identical, the Z does gets shorter springs and more aggressive strut valving. Sway bars are the same exact parts, same diameters. Transmissions and gear ratio's are the same to.

My sedan has,
350Z springs and struts
Cusco sway bars (again the parts are the same as the Z)
crawford intake pleneum
Injen CAI
Stock LSD out of a Z comming within 1 week

I drove the Z first and loved it to death, but I needed 4 seats. Drove the coupe and it was no where as fun as the Z to fling around. So I bought the sedan and I've equipped it to behave and drive like the Z did.

did you have any MAFS problems with your intake. i just put a weapon R intake on my 02 max and my sensor blew.

No none at all. I know the MAF's are very sensitive. Some guys with the Injen guys have had problems with the engine dying at speeds at or above 80mph if they drop the clutch. I didn't install my intake the way injen said to, some things defied logic to me, so I did it my way. I can drop my clutch above 80 all I please, has not effect. I've even dropped the clutch a couple of times at 145, still not problems. I love the intake BTW.

that's how i did it too, briefly read the directions and then just wing it. i've put intakes in my 95 maxima and 96 200sx se-r and never had a problem. i was driving the 02 the day after i put the intake in,showing it off to a buddy, and i went wide open throttle and at 5000rpm, as it switched to the second intake runner, the damn car just stopped accelerating. it felt like it popped out of gear. i'm under the impression there was too much filter oil and i coated the MAFS. i used brake cleaner on it and took a toothbrush to it but no luck. i've been looking for any suggestions cuz i have a new mafs on order and i don't feel like paying $300 for it.

The Maxima has been referred to as the 'Four Door Z' before. In fact, that was probably the idea behind the original Maxima. Despite the switch to fwd, the Maxima has continued to at least use engines similar(if not the same) to the Z, from the L-series to the VG to the VQ.

Yeah The Maxima Kind Of Looks Like The Z From The Front. Thats Probably What It Is A New Maxima With More Power

Why Are You Starting Every Word With A Capital? You Do Know You Only Use Capitals After Full Stops (.) And With The Letter I (i).

Yeah the 4 door 350Z will be BS because it would already be out in Japan. Plus the G35 litterately is a four door 350Z

This thread is well over a year old...

Let it die... it's obvious there never was a 4-door 350z released...
