hey guys, whats up? I have heard so many dif. drift "Setups", and i wanna know yalls setups. I have an S-13 Silvia i call the "touge attakka". I was wondering what a good drift setup would be. I have heard LOTSA - camber in front, but 0 -/+ rear, and ive heard the opposite. also, dont I need a good wide powerband and good clutch with about 250-300HP? All I know is LOTSA grip upfront and cheapo (used?) tires out back. thx in advance for ne help.

wow 250-300hp ...my 240sx only has 202hp eactly stock sr20det. really to awnser ur question is there is no real great setting for ur drift car because we all have our own style of drifting. sure some neg. camber in the front will help but depends on ur rear setup. wether ur toe is to the eight or what not. all i gotta say is play around with ur car and ull find the setting :lol2:

You don't need a lot of horsepower to Drift. Unless you are a pro a lot of horsepower will be more of a disadvantage than an advantage. My car is making almost 400 rwhp and I am selling it as it is just too powerful for me to Drift in. I suggest a good suspension setup (adjustable shocks are a must), get your car as stiff as possible. Intercooler, decent size. Oil cooler, this is also a must. A low mount turbo such as a HKS GTRS will be awesome as this turbo is as responsive as the standard turbo but makes much more power. If you put in an aftermarket turbo then a Z32 AFM, GTR fuel pump, 550cc injectors and a programmable ECU are needed. The best thing to do about camber settings is experiment with it. Different cars will react to camber differently. Get a drift handbrake, I cant explain how useful these are. A good clutch as you said is also important and make sure your brakes are ok. I like using Endless pads. Hope this helps.

hmm....... Dude shitty tiress in the back, i would say is good if you r a begginner......And its if u want a more low speed drift.put good tires in back i think it will provide good control.....and what other people tell yea is from what they think is right put ur car to how you feel is comfortable.and suits you. :nono: :loser: :icon16: :disappoin :banghead: :evillol: :screwy:
