Who is faster, Jackie Chan, Bruce Lee, or Jet Li?

I saw this brought up somewhere else. What do you all think?

I think Jet Li is the shit. But Jackie Chan is funny. :)

I have to say that it is a toss up for me between Jet Li and Bruce Lee. They both possess a great deal of speed and precision in delivering their blows. Jackie, well, he's more of a risk taker at best in my opinion. I don't see him in the ranks of Bruce or Jet.

The Master Lee would eat both of these hacks for breakfast and ask for more! Chan is just a dancer and performer, I don't know much about Jet's back ground but Bruce Lee was a fighter before anything else not to mention one of the best.

Bruce Lee is definitely faster. And I saw this video somewhere where he did a 1 inch punch. That is, he held is fist one inch from someones body, and punched, and the guy flew back like, 10 feet.

Actually Li once told reporters that he would not like to fight Chan because he is one crazy bastard. Theres nothing he wouldn't do or try to do. Is he faster maybe, but the fastest does not mean that someone will hand someone else their "ass". There all impressive, but I can think of a few other people I would rather have my back in a street fight.

Yes. I would rather have a UFC street fighter or a Navy Seal then a pure martial artist. There is more to a street fight then being a great martial artist. Bruce was not an itimidating presence. Sure if you knew who he was, he'd scare you, but if you didn't, he was a small guy who moved quick. Put a large fast moving street fighter in his place and you have quality as back up and intimidation as well.

If you are having a martial arts exhibition or a one on one challenge between people, there are probably very few people who have ever been Li's equal. But if there is a brawl in an alley, I'd rather have a Navy Seal. (again, not that Li would be bad at all)

I know what you're talking about Yogs when you talk about those UFC fighters, but I dont' think you're giving Bruce enough credit either. He wasn't just about pure Martial arts. The boy could fight too.

Bruce Lee is the best of the best. Can't nobody touch him. He would woop Royce Gracie's a$$ in a matter of seconds. Probably could do it blindfolded. He is probably the most lethal person ever came about. A Navy Seal would definately be ready to fight Bruce, they're down for anything. But Bruce turn him into a Baby Seal.

Well Kung-Fu Masters and whatnot are one thing - but I'd rather have a Ninjitsu Master or something at my back for a street fight - they are experts with knives, big sticks, ninja stars and all the rest of it - and they don't need to trade punches when they can incapacitate you with a single blow.

If anyone is just basing their decisions on what they see in movies, is sorely missing something. I am talking about a street fight - not a coreographed movie or a martial arts turnament. I am talking about an anything goes backstreet brawl. And I still say that all three of these guys can more then handle themselves against the odds, but I'd rather have a few others if given the choice.

bro i dont mean to be blunt, but Bruce Lee fought 3 guys at once and beat them all in less than a minute. This is true, ive read the biography many times, Im sure bruce lee could take a punch from even tyson, he knew how to manage his pain, and he wasnt all about martial arts/choreographed movies, although he did partake in that, he also did have more than a few run ins with the Chinese Mafia. Bruce Lee Could probably easily kill ppl 2x bigger than him, all this, AND he was smart! lmao, anyways later.

Dude, who were these 3 guys? I mean come on....if they were black belts or whaever then sure thats very impressive but if they were handicapped petrol pumpers then who cares?

And I know Bruce Lee could handle a lot of pain, but I'm sure that wouldn't mean much if Tyson connected with a haymaker....you can't feel pain when you're unconcious :)

Not sure about Bruce Lee, but his son, Brandon Lee was shot while filming “The Crow”. Apparently a gun that wasn’t meant to be loaded actually was and he got shot in that major fight scene. They finished the movie off by using computer generated images of him. What a total waste of a life. He was a great actor and by all accounts a really good person. :(

I'd say of the three, I'd have to go with Bruce. He's just the baddest of the baddest. The footage I have seen of him in action is unparalleled in my mind. I have only seen Jet Li in Lethal Weapon 4, and while I was extremely impressed, I don't think he's quite up to par with Bruce Lee. As for Jackie Chan, well his movies are awesome, he is quite a talent (and a daredevil with some of the insane stunts he does in his films), but I wouldn't put him quite up on the same level of fighting skill as Bruce and Jet.

How about Sonny Cheba?? He seems to have missed this spotlight, that IMO he should share among a group of what I consider to be his peers. Afterall, he was the "chosen successor" to Bruce Lee.

yeah in one of the movies Bruce Lee fights Chuck Norris..... Chuck Norris was damn good!

Lee may have trained Norris, but I still have to go with Segal here. Norris was slow and not very agile. Just my opinion though.
