Just wondering if anyone knew of a few good places to get japanese rwd cars or also any awd ones specifically the impreza 2.5rs that needed work, and therefore would be sold at low prices? I'm looking for cars that need repairs so i can learn off of them/also play around with them? anyone have any suggestions? please? anything would be cool, thanks.

what??? LOOK AROUND! honestly, how lazy can some people get?? do a little research, and ye shall find TONS! look around other web-boards, classified ads, autotrader.com and other such sites ETC ETC ETC!!! it's not like there's some big "RWD JAPANESE CAR DEALERSHIP" somewhere that we can simply point you to, although i wish there was.

If your looking to order one online which i'm assuming you are, i find that the website www.j-garage.com (http://www.j-garage.com) is a very good scourcec for exactly what you are looking for, though Iketani was right there are PLENTY of places on the net you can find to import japanses FR cars.

yea, i just really want a project car that needs some maintenance, a japanese car like a 240sx, rx-7, or some other cars that are common among drifters in the US (but i was really looking at USDM cars, cuz i dunno how much JDM cars would cost to import/legalize)... but anywya, i live in north NJ like i said, anyone know of any places around here that would carry cars like that?

Sorry there man, I just went through Jersey today, but i have no idea where you could pick one up. But importing a car from japan is suprisingly not that expsensive, really, most of them are already lega, the only setback that I can really see is the right hand drive. But hey if your lookin for an authentic japanese car then you have got yourself one. Also feel free to e-mail most websites that allow you to import, cause they have their best stuff on the net, the probably do have fixer uppers lying around on the lot that they would be more than happy to trade off to you.

And think about it, how much can ou buy a civic for, realize that it is shipped in from overseas and is a "foreign" car. So now imagine getting a Prelude for the very same price after it's had one driver, no accidents and skipping all middle man prices.

Anyways hope this helps, post back with anymore thoughts

Yea, i talked to Yoshi from J-Garage.com and he said it would cost a lot to import the car, and the process would take a long time, so i'm not sure if that would be worth it. but you said some cars would be legal already, do you know which ones would be? I was pretty much just looking at the cars on j-garage.com... any of those legal? stupid emmisions... well, anyway, i don't know if there are any importers around north nj/NY that would be selling imports for cheap prices. i'm still really looking at cars that were sold here in the US originally (usdm) so if anyone knows of anyone else that's selling a car like a 240sx, rx-7, supra, or maybe even an impreza 2.5 RS (4wd drifting is better than fwd drifting in my maxima) or any garages that might have them around here lemme kno. thanks.

sumimasen, wakarimasen... ok i figure no one's gonna tell me "you should go here" so i'm just asking if anyone knows anyone that has a car that needs fixing up... no one's really gonna pay to advertise their car... ok just stop making fun of me now.
