Or not the world but how about the east coast...whether you've been there or not, what do you think of the east coast import scene compared to the west coast?

I've never been to any shows on the east coast so I couldn't really say, but it seems like most people say we're a little bit ahead of the east coast. What about shows though? It seems like they have some BIG shows out in Flordia...of course NOPI in Ga, Carlisle in Pa...it kind of seems like the east coast shows draw more people, but I dunno though.

What do you guys think? This isn't like a bash the east coast thread or anything, because I know they have some SICK cars out there, but just wanted to get some other peoples' opinions.

Post now...post now or you die by karate chop...hiiiiiyaaaaaa:biggrin:

This may be wrong but my brother has recently came back from NY and NJ and said that California's import scene is way larger than it is over there. Maybe cause we have more import supportive companies here in california and of course wouldnt we be the first to recieve import products since we are closer to japan than the east coast (duh).

yeah you would think it would be like that...I had heard that we were a couple years ahead of the east coat, but it's hard to say unless you're real familiar with that scene. My body guy told me that on the east coast you don't see any halfass cars though. Like if they're being fixed up, they're pretty much all the way fixed up. I read mostly Import Tuner which of course concentrates more on the scene here in Cali, but I've seen some pics of east coast shows and they just don't seem to have...well I think they're missing something, but I don't know what it is.

The reason I posted this was cause we were checking out a 360 video I think and there was a hella sic...dope...JDM style civic from Va. I think it was in Import Tuner awhile back and this car is HOOOOT!!! Even if JDM isn't your thing, you'd have to admit this car is really nice.

I just moved back to LA(San Pedro) from Orlando, Fl-I saw more people doing exterior mods than anything else (they seem to get really creative with the neons and lighting in general). The imports I see out here all seem to have that 'less is more' feel to them, which I happen to like.

Florida is serious about its import scene, but California seems to set the trends; maybe its the magazines, maybe there's something about California's import scene-goers that makes them strive to be completely original, who knows. If it were a race I'd say California was ahead.

sorry if this is old.
