The title of this thread is FAVORITE Am. muscle car...not FASTEST...anyways...if you want to get real technical...your selection is not really a muscle car...more roadster/race car than anything...

I will not think about this as it is too damn tough and I dont really want my brain to blow apart. But as Jimster said, anything powered by a Hemi, 426's made unbelievable horspower, it was over 500 wasn't it?? I know they were rated at 425 but I had read somewhere they dynoed a car with one and it was over 500 some rwhp stock. But I can never choose between a Chevelle SS, Camaro, GTO, Charger, Challenger, Cuda, I JUST CAN'T DECIDE!!!, now if u said something along the lines of favorite for looks, speed, luxury, I might be able to choose, but if it was a Muscle car most likely I will drool over it. But anything with a blown 426 hemi or maybe a blown 454 would make me feel :boink:

By the truest definition Mustang, Camaro, Corvette, Shelby Cobra none are muscle cars. GTO,Chevelle, Charger, those are actual "Muscle Cars" by definition.

True but i believe the Mustang and the Camaro are put into the "Muscle Car" category because of its Live-Axle... So in a sense they sort-of are.

to me the word of " muscle car " means, if the horsepower has a biger number than the engines ci, its a muscle car!

well that's a bad definition cuz i drive a ~220ci sedan with 255 hp and i know it's not a muscle car.

To be a Muscle Car it must be a full-size car. I know all these cars are now pretty much called muscle cars but its not true. There is sports cars, Muscle Cars, and Pony cars. Some blur the lines

But it isn't a muscle car.
It was built long after the muscle car era. It also has a turbocharged V6. Real muscle cars always had V8s.
It just doesn't fit the defenition.

Dudes, the Camaro and Mustang were definitely muscle cars. Whoever said pony cars were different from muscle cars is a dweeb, because the Hemi 'Cuda was a pony car, and anyone who thinks that isnt a muscle car can eat my socks
By the way, a muscle car differs from a sports car in that it has 4 seats and is usually a midsize to fullsize car, with the exception of the Nova SS, which could be considered a compact
