Has the concept of 'child support' gone too far?

I fully agree that if you make a child, either intentionally or unitentionally, you should be obliged to raise it to the best of your abilities. The only exception to this belief would be where the mother of the child has acted wilfully and deceitfully to concieve a child outside of mutually agreed arrangements. This case,in my opinion ,falls squarely into the latter category.

That is freaking ridiculous. I feel sorry for the guy but maybe he'll think again before donating sperm. As far as child support goes when it comes to divorce, guys get the shit end of the deal. One of my friends dads is going through a shitty divorce right now b/c his wife wants everything. She doesn't deserve shit! He's worked his ass off to support his family(3 kids) to live a good life, and then she just decides she wants a divorce one day. Not to mention shes cheating on him as well before the divorce is even final. Luckily he only has to pay child support for one child(the others are over 18) and that will only be for a few more years. Anyways, that whole child support system is f'd up and needs to be entirely rewritten and not in favor of the women.

That is total BS. Take it from one who pays it, there are no winners in this situation. I hope he enforces hie parental rights in this matter and fights back for custody of one form or another.
Texas I couldn't agree more, the system is fawked up. I just finished up a 6 year battle with the system for a mistake they made. I even spent the night in jail because they suspended my liscense and never told me till I was pulled over for a blown tag light. Now they owe me 3 years of overpayments that I will never see I am sure.
The system of child support has nothing really to do with divocre and if America did not have so many deadbeat dads maybe the system would improve..maybe.
